We will go over the fundamentals of bead stringing, design, and teach you how to pick wire sizes, fasten clasps, set crimps, and
finish Bead Stringing projects. We will also create a necklace and pair of earrings. You will go home from this class ready to create with confidence.

Precious Wire Wrap Bracelet #1 #314All Skill Levels At 82nd St. store on Sat. 2/11/2012 3-6 p.m. Cost: $40.00 + supplies This Precious Wire #1 Bracelet is the prerequisite to the numerous precious wire classes that Sue Twombly teaches. She is a local teacher/designer and has some beautiful classes that will follow this class taught by Cathy Gurecki. Come into the store to see all the class samples. You can create them in al sterling silver, gold filled or a combination. If you bring your own tools, please make sure they are clearly marked. Mounting Cabochans with tools #120All skill levels At 82nd St. store on Sat. 2/25/2012 2-5 p.m. Cost: $45.00 + supplies This is a great class for someone that wants to go beyond the basic wire wrapping. In this 3 1/2 hour class you will use use your tools to do the wire bending techniques. This is a nice, clean look for wrapping cabochons. You will be able to wrap any type object once you learn this technique. Don't forget to bring your marked tools & come a little early to purchase your supplies. PMC #2, pendant w/stone #692At 82nd Street store on Sat 3/3/2012 10 - 5:00 p.m. Cost: $60.00 + supplies In this Precious Metal Class you will learn how to create a pendant with a mounted CZ and/or dichroic glass. If time allows you can also create some other pieces that you can use for earrings, etc. We will roll, stamp, file, sand, fire, tumble, patina and polish your pieces. One CZ & dichroic piece will be included with the class. All supplies available for purchase. Supplies needed: Basic kit, PMC3 clay and syringe.There will be a demo on using a torch for firing. | |
